Your Own English Garden
There are moments at the end of the day when you feel the need to escape the noise and distraction around you. You do not have to go looking very far. You can find that peace and quiet right in your own backyard. Give your house that much needed home improvement by creating your own garden. And not just any kind, but an English garden where you and your family can enjoy the beauty of nature together.
Be sure to make the place look lush with greenery. A typical English garden is a landscape of shrubs and lots of flowers. Plant as many blooms as you can find. Create rows filled with roses, lilacs, or hibiscus. Make hedges with the use of laurels, or other fast-growing flowering plants. It can be used to make walls around the lawn as well. You can even make a simple maze to add design and variety. Lakes are usually part of the entire landscape. However, you can be creative and set up a fountain in the middle of the yard instead. This will serve as a focal point. Furthermore, benches are an essential part in an English garden. You can choose any model and make so long as it would fit into your design. If you have any space to accommodate a gazebo, then that would add a more formal look to your backyard. Make it functional by growing herbs that you can use for cooking. In addition, some herbs keep pests away and help maintain the beauty of your garden, so include these plants in your landscape.
