How to Arrange Picture Frames Inside your Home

Do you want to add a sense of warmth and history to your home? Then display your family photos. But this can be trickier than you think. It is tempting to sprinkle the interior of your room with beautifully framed photos of your family members. However, without a bit of planning, a house can look rather chaotic if the images are displayed haphazardly. Here are some tips on how to properly display these portraits. First, find the right location, which means focusing on areas where guests usually converge and stay. The living room and the formal dining room are good places where you can show your prized photographs.

Next, take all your family photos out and choose the best ones for framing. You can also have your favourite photographs blown up if you feel they are too small to frame. For a uniform look, choose one style of framing. The less favoured ones can be placed in albums which you could put on your centre or coffee tables.

Once the images are framed, you are now ready to display them on a photo ledge. Place the largest image first on the wall. Then arrange smaller ones around it. If the frames are all small, you can arrange them on a photo ledge, which is basically a display centre that is bordered with a large piece of moulding. The nice thing about using a photo ledge is that you can swap any picture you want any time. Finally, you can put the smallest stand-up frames on your coffee table, fireplace mantel, counter top, or chest of drawers.
