The International Genealogical Index is based on transcribed baptism and marriage parish registers, plus entries provided by individual research, and information derived from the 1881 census. This map shows what Devon parish registers have been included, more or less complete (the IGI tends to stop at about 1837, when civil registration began).
Some parishes have not been covered at all. They are marked in pink on the map.
Others have partial coverage e.g. baptisms only, or certain non-conformist registers, or coverage that stops well short of the end of the 18th century. They have been marked in green.
The parishes marked in blue are covered by the IGI. I do not guarantee that the coverage is complete, and parish registers in the County Record office may cover a wider period and give more information, but transcriptions do cover most of the 18th century at least, and up to 1836.

A map is a handy reference if you are trying to ensure coverage of particular areas. As an alternative reference, here is an alphabetical listing of parishes not covered, or only partially covered.
