John Vanstone, corn factor of Exeter, was charged with assault on PC17 George Guppy, and was fined 5 shillings plus costs.

Easter 1829: among prisoners remaining in detention from a previous session, was John Vanstone, serving 6 months for offences against the game laws (poaching).
